Rag and Bone Man

To Start: Talk to the Odd Old Man next to the Limestone mines East of Varrock. 

Items: 8 things of Vinegar (get during quest), 8 pots, tinderbox, 8 logs, lantern, spiny helmet, Weapon, telly runes.

Skills: None, level 20 Combat is advised; med. level magic to teleport

Levels: 20 Combat or so

Getting the Bones:

Bear Ribs: After talking to the Odd Old Man, head South of Varrock and kill a bear for its rib.

Unicorn Bone: Find a unicorn around this area where the Bears are, south of Varrock and kill it for its bone.

Ram Skull: Head to Lumbridge and kill a ram.

Goblin Skull: Head to Lumbridge and kill a Goblin for its skull.

Big Frog Leg: Now head into the Lumbridge Sewer Caves and kill a big frog

Giant Rat Bone: Travel to Port Sarim and Kill a giant rat for it's Bone

Monkey Paw: Go to Port Sarim and travel to Karmaja. You may need to range or mage the monkey.

Giant Bat Wing: Travel to Camelot and head South to Keep Le Faye and kill a giant bat

You should have all these Bones now.

Now you must clean them... Go to Draynor and talk to Fortunato who will not know what you are talking about..Mention the Odd Old Man.
Now buy 8 things of vinegar and pour them into pots, then place your bones into the pots.
 Now take your tinderbox and 8 things of wood and go back to the Odd Old Man.

Place your logs on the pot boiler then place your pot on it.  Repeat this for all 8 bones.  Then give the bones to the Odd Old Man.

Reward:
500 Prayer and Cooking exp, 1 Quest Point, Ability to complete the Bone Collecting Mini Quest.

Rat Catchers

Start Point: Talk to Gertrude who will tell you to talk to 2 ladies in the Varrock Sewers who can teach your cat about Rat Catching.

Skills: None

Quests: Gertrude's Cat, Icthlarin's Little Helper

Items:  A vial, one kwuarm herb, one thing of red spider's eggs, a weed, a tinderbox, food for your cat (fish), 4 pieces of cheese, a bucket of milk, one marentill, a grounded up unicorn horn (horn dust), amulet of catspeak, a kitten or cat (overgrown cats can't catch rats).   (For easier travel: Some runes for Ardounge and Al Kharid as well as money for the carpet rides (if you have the Ring of Charos (u) the carpet rides are only 100 gp each - also teleport runes to Falador or an amulet of glory) 

Quest Walkthrough:

Talk to Gertrude and she will tell you that two women in the Varrock sewers can teach your cat about rat catching. Go to the Varrock sewers to meet Phingspet and Grimesquit.

The Rat Pole: Talk to either of the two women and they will tell you to catch 8 rats - have your cat catch 8 rats (there are some right there in the sewers) and talk back to the sisters, they will give you a rat pole and tell you to talk to Jimmy Dazzler in Ardougne.

Jimmy the Dazzler and the Mansion of Rats: Teleport or walk to Ardougne and in the far NE corner of East Ardougne (where the mini-game icon is) lies Jimmy the Dazzler and his beautiful pearly whites ;).  Jimmy will tell you about his friend who is holding a party at his mansion - but there are some rats that need catching!  He will give you the map - once you have your rat pole, and cat read the directions to find yourself in the garden.  There are many guards scouting the garden for intruders so beware! 

Getting into the mansion:  The way I went was on the West side, wait for the guards to go off screen and run into the small patches of gardens (with bridges).  Then run up on the side of the stone wall to the small tower, wait for the guard there to go onto the other side of the hedge - now you are on the left side and he is on the right side of the hedge.  Now run up and wait for the other guard to walk towards the trellis (which you have to climb) so that you can run behind the closest hedge.  Once there it may take awhile - but just wait - for the guards near the trellis to walk to the other side of the building so that they cannot see you run past.  Now run up the trellis. If you are seen you will be teleported to the first (of three) teleport zones.  The first being all the way back to the start of the garden. 

The Top Floor: Now you are in the mansion and you now have the second teleport zone - the hedge next to the trellis - still watch out for the guards out back...  Now, if the guards are coming in run next to the potted plants on the sides of the house.  Here is the map: (sorry that I didn't take a full picture of the top floor :( )



Kill all the rats in the mansion then make your way back upstairs - downstairs is the third teleport room.  Make sure the upstairs guards can't see you - when they are on the balcony run into the room above the room with the ladder...then when they are behind the stairs run down the trellis - once you are down the trellis you will be teleported back to Jimmy Dazzler...He will open the kitten's Rat Pits for you.! Jimmy will send you to Hooknose Jack in Varrock.

Hooknose Jack and Warehouse of Rats:  Talk to Hooknose Jack and he will tell you to get some cheese as bait to douce with rat poison.  To make rat poison: give Jack a red spider egg, a kwuarm, and a vial.  He'll make you some and use it with four pieces of cheese.  Put the cheese in the rat holes in the warhouse (to Jack's South) and then return back to Jack.  But he tells you that his cat, Pox, ate a poisoned rat.  He'll send you to the Apothecary.

Healing the Cat: You'll need a bucket of milk, some marentill and a grounded up unicorn horn to give to the apothecary to make the antidote.  Bring it back to Jack and he'll thank you...but then tell you that you did a terrible job - there is still a rat left!

The King Rat!: Go back to the warehouse (bring food for your cat) and use your cat with the hole in the wall next to the king rat - you can choose your cats fighting technique (wear the amulet of catspeak).  Now watch your cat kill the rat! If your cat starts losing hitpoints use some food with the hole in the wall to heal him/her.



Jack will thank you and unlock the Cat Rat Pits.  He'll tell you to talk to Smokin' Joe in Keldagrim.

Smokin' Joe Smokin' Out the Rats: To Get to KeldagrimIf you have done the Giant Dwarf Quest:: Teleport to Falador and go into the dwarf mines - buy a ticket for 150 dollars or if you have your Ring of Charos it's only 75gp :).  If not you Can: Teleport to Rellekka - if you have done the Fremmink Trials Quest...and Yet if not tele to Camelot and walk or just Walk!...anyway Back to the quest... Talk to Smokin' Joe (his lungs seem to be giving up) and he will tell you that you must smoke out the rats.  He will give you a pot full of green stuff...but it appears that he coughed up on it .  Insist that he just tells you the recipe: some weeds, a pot and a tinderbox.  Use some weeds with a pot and light it.  Use it with the rat hole near Joe.  It will show the rats coming out back they just go back in! 

Duo and new Rat Pits: Let your cat out and try again - he/she will insist that you two work as a duo.  Use your pot of lit weeds with the rat hole and then your cat will get the rats! Talk to Joe who will open the Overgrown Cat Rat Pits (under the Laughing Miner Pub).  He will then tell you about The Face in Port Sarim.

The Face: Go to Port Sarim and talk to The Face (such a beautful face!) It...erm She will tell you to talk to Felkrash in the Pits.  Felkrash will tell you to get rid of every rat in Port Sarim in just one movement - just like she did a while ago.  Go back up and ask the Face about Felkrash's movement.  She will tell you the long story (you don't see the entire thing) of how Felkrash learnt, from the snake charmer in Pollnivneach, the rat dance song.

The Snake Charmer: Go to Pollniveach (with about 100-200 gp) and use your money with the charmer's money pot (he won't talk to you unless you drop a few gp in his pot) Now ask him how to get the rats out and he will give you the sheet music and charmer.

Clearing the Rats with the power of Music!: Now read the Sheetmusic (and say the first note is with o being highlighted red and 0 the regular circles.  Now on your charmer

For the first page #1 select the same note as on the sheet music and keep doing that so...if the second note on the sheet music was:

Then on your second page click the one with no red highlights - when you see the octave higher symbol highlighted on your sheetmusic then highlight it on the corresponding page.  Click play one you have all the notes done and correct and you'll see your character bring all of the rats to the ocean. Now talk to Felkrash (with a cat in your inventory) and she'll turn it into a Wiley cat and tell you how to take care of them!

Recruitment Drive

To start: Speak to Sir Amik in Falador Castle

Requirements:

Level: Combat to kill a level 20 with no armour/weapons

Quests: Black Knight's Fortress, and Druidic Ritual
Items: None

Other: Be a Women (men must change their Gender at the MakeOver Mage SW of Falador

Once you have talked to Sir Amik (if you are a male character change into Female) then talk to Sir Tiffy (with NOthing in your inventory) who is located in Falador Park

Tell him that you are ready for training.

You will be teleported into the Testing Area

Sir Spishyus
Ah, a classic!  You have a hen, fox and a sack to bring across a rackety bridge -- carry two and you will fall -- carry the wrong thing and either the hen will eat the feed, or the fox will eat the hen.

Here's what you do:
Carry over the Hen - drop it off
Carry over the Feed, Drop it off
Pick up the Hen and bring it to the other side
Pick up the Fox and bring it to the other side
Pick up the Hen and Bring it over
You are done this test!

Sir Tinley:
Speak to Sir Tinley and he will tell you that all you need is Patience to pass the test... Simple enough: Don't move and you will pass.  Do not click or anything, just let your character stand still for like 10 seconds and you are done this test!

Once you have completed all the tests talk to Sir Tiffy, he will give you your money back to get the Makeover (if you got the makeover DURING the quest)

Regicide

To start: read the letter from the messenger from King Lathas (you recieve this at any random time)

Requirements:

Levels: 10 Crafting, 56 Agility

Quests: UnderGround Pass

Items:  pestle and Mortar, 4 Balls of wool, 2 Rope, a Spade, 2 Planks, 5 Arrows of any kind, a Bow of any kind, Coal around; 15-25, a pickaxe of anysort, a spit roast, logs, tinderbox

Items Rec: Teleport Runes to Falador and Ardougne, good Armour, good food, Some potions such as Prayer, Agility etc.


Once you have talked to King Lathas, after receiving the letter, make your way back to the UnderGround Pass.  Repeat the process of lightning the your arrows on fire etc. etc... Make your way to the Iban's Well (see UnderGround Pass Quest Guide on that) -- NOTE: you do not need the doll, to kill anything (like the Iban Disciples or anything)... Once at the well, go down


Welcome to the Land of the Elves...a nice Warning: ***Watch Out For Traps All Over The Elven Lands!!!!*** Proceed along the path - keep straight through traps and you should be all set!

Now you should see an Elf - he will get killed =(.. anywho, Head West-to-NorthWest, following the path, walk over the log balance and into the camp.  Talk to the Lord Iorweth and then head South to the Tracker, whom you passed a bit ago.  The Tracker will ask for a trust-ing gift.  Head back to the Lord  (pass the traps) and ask for the Crystal Pendant -- give this to the Tracker who will tell you about Tracking (why not about Cooking?)
*if needed you can kill rabbits and cook them on spit roasts -- providing that you have one*

Now head West and find some Foot Prints - talk to the Tracker again, then follow the prints with your Tracking Skills

--The tracks lead you to a guard (level 110) kill it and keep heading North-NW (watch out for ALL traps - search the grounds to trigger them before you do by accident!)

Head ove to the catapult and talk to the Guard - he will mention being hungry - keep heading through the dense shrubbery and into the Tyras Camp.  Pick up a barrel.

Now head back to the Lord I. and he'll give you a book - now head East of the camp, run past the Dire Wolves and mine some limestone.  Head back to where the Tracker is and head South of the Tracker to a swamp pit - use a pot with the swamp, then pick up some Sulphur. 
Teleport out (to Falador or somewhere close -- like Draynor), now get your coal from the bank and go to Falador's Furnace and use your Limestone with it to get Quicklime (use gloves when heating limestone!)

*at anytime*
Use your sulphur with your Pestle and mortar
Use your quicklime with Pestle and mortar -- while you have a pot in your inventory

Head to the Chemist in Rimmington.  Let him read your book to use his stuff.

Now this is how to make the Explosive:

-- Use the Bucket of Swamp tar with the still and operate it
--Add Coal to keep the Heat Up -- not past the Green!
--Click the Tar Regulator 2ce
*If Pressure goes up click the Knob on the top of the Wheel
*Keep adding coal so the heat does not decrease!
Now the tar should look green (the bar is green)
Make sure your Tar Regulator is now pointing to the Right. - and your pressure should decrease
Now you should have a barrel of Naphtha

*bring Ardougne Teleport Runes -- at least* (or Camelot or something...)
Use your limestone barrel with the Naphtha, then your sulphur
Then get 4 balls of wool and use them with the loom in Falador-Draynor Farming Shop to make cloth - use this with your barrel.
Now get all the items to go through the UnderGround Pass (arrows, planks etc) and make your way through to the Iban's temple well again and climb into the Elven areas again

BOOM!:
On your way to the Tyras camp again kill a rabbit and cook it's meat.give this to the General who had said that he was hungry earlier.  Use your barrel with the catapault (you must have a tinderbox with you!!) BOOM!  Now return to the Lord and he will tell you to bring a message to King Lathas - teleport to Ardougne and then talk to King Lathas -- you will get a surprise visitor -- talk to King Lathas and...

Reward:

Restless Ghost, The

onsters: Skeleton (level 13)

Start location: Lumbridge Church, speak to Father Aereck.

Father Aereck needs help ridding the graveyard of a ghost.

After talking to Father Aereck you need to find his friend Father Urhney.

Father Urhney: He is located in Lumbridge Swamps, to get there go west (around the castle) from Lumbridge Church.  Follow the stone wall which will open up to the swamp (if you find a campsite with a ranger, wizard etc. you're in the right place.)  From the campsite go South-east.  Follow the swamp a little bit and you'll find some mithril, coal and addament rocks which are next to Urhney's hut.  Go inside and speak to Father Urhney (he's very grumpy) and tell him about Father Aereck, and ask about the Amulet of Ghostspeak, and he'll give you the Amulet of Ghostspeak. 

The Ghost:  Go back to the Lumbridge Church, and south a little to find the graveyard.  Go into the building in the graveyard and wait till the ghost appears.  Talk with the ghost (make sure you have the amulet of ghost-speak on first). He will tell you that he needs his skull back to rest in peace.

The Skull:  From the graveyard go west again (around the castle etc.) Keep going west till you find a road which goes up and down, go down onto what is a cement dock.  Follow it down to the wizards tower.  Once inside go down the ladder and into the east room.  You will find a skull in here.  Pick up the skull and you'll be attacked by a level 13 skeleton either kill it then pick up the skull.

Rest in Peace:  Bring the skull back to the ghost and put it into his coffin then you have completed the quest!

Reward: Amulet of Ghostspeak (if you lose it talk to Fr. Urhney again and ask for it), 1000 + prayer exp, and 1 quest point!

Romeo And Juliet

Items: Cadava berries (found in the south-eastern part of Varrock, near the mining area.)

Skills needed: None

Monsters: None

Start Location: Juliet in the house west of the big Varrock bank.

Quest walkthrough:

Talk with Juliet and she will give you a note to give to Romeo. 

Romeo:  You can find Romeo in the center of Varrock, wandering around the fountain.  Give him the note then talk to him again. After talking with Romeo you will need to find Father Lawerence.

Father Lawrence: He is located in the church North of the east bank of Varrock. He will tell you about the Apothecary (found in south west varrock) who can make cadava potion. 

The Apothecary:  Once you find him he'll tell you that he'll need cadava berries to make the cadava potion.  Once you get them go back to him and he'll make the potion, give it to Juliet.  After you give the potion to Juliet talk with Romeo and you're done!

Reward:
5 quest points.

Roving Elves

To start: Head past the gates to Arandar from the Gnome Stronghold area. .Head South past the Dire Wolves -- pass the traps
Now you must talk to Iswlyn who may be: (there are two possible areas - they alternate every 5 or so minutes)
Either: Walk SW over the trap stick near Prif. Check the camp fire
Or you can start: From the leaves above then you can head South to Dense Forestry Head east, past the dense and then head South past some Dire Wolves - and find Iswlyn here.

Requirements:

Levels: Combat to kill a level 84 Moss Giant w/o armour/weapons

Quests: Regicide, Waterfall

Items: Glarial's pebble and amulet, a spade and some ropes
Item Rec: Pots (prayer etc.) food, Ardougn Teleport

Once you have talked to Iswlyn, talk to Eluned - and tell the truth. 

*no armour, weapons or anything - just some pots, perhaps* Now head to Glarial's tomb - west of the Fishing Guild (remember from the Waterfall quest...)
Now use your pebble on the Tombstone.. Kill the Moss Giant (it may be tough) and pick up the Seed it drops

Now head back to Eluned and Iswlyn, give the seed to Eluned and then Eluned will give it back to you (after talking to it) and will tell you to plant it in Glarials Grave - behind the Waterfall

Now get a spade and wear the amulet - go through the Baxtorian house and take the raft down - swim and swing across the trees then head behind the Falls. Head through the East path/room and search the crates for a key.  Now head to the Furthest West room and enter with the Key.  Now enter through the other door to the grave and plant the seed - growing a tree

Go back to the elves for your reward!

Reward:
10k Strength XP
Either a used Crystal Bow (70 Range and Agility) or Shield (70 Defence and Agility)
Ability to buy Crystal Bows / Shields for around 900k

Royal Trouble

To begin: talk to Advisor Ghrim

Requirements:
Levels - 40 Agility, 40 Slayer, combat to kill a level 149 Snake
Boss - Giant Snake (149)
Quests - Throne of Miscellania
Items: Antipoison, just bring armour and such.

Back to Misc. to wed...The King and Queen that is!
Head to Miscellania and talk to the Advisor, who'll tell you to talk to the Prince/Princess, talk to one of them and (s)he will tell you that the King and Queen must get married, and end the war!

Who done it?
Talk to King Vargas, he'll tell you that the island's resources have been dwindling.  Now head outside and talk to either one of these: Herblist/Miner/Fisher/Gardener - (s)he'll tell you about the Etc. soldiers.  Report to the King.
Head over to Etc. and talk to the Queen.  And she'll say that it was Misc. soldiers stealing their goods.  Head out and talk to any Etc. citizen - they will say it was a Misc. Soldier...

Talk to King Vargas, who'll say that the Queen is lying!  Now talk to Ghrim.  He will tell you to talk to the Sailor to seek out clues/answers.  Head over to the docks and talk to the Sailor.  He will tell you that some Rellekka kids have come on board one day, and that some people are hiding out in the caves.

Go back to the King and he will give you an entrance scroll to give to the guard to let you search around the Dungeon.  Speak to the people in the dungeon, they'll direct you to Thordin - talk to him (pick up the pickaxe from his rock - then mine 5 coal).  He'll tell you to talk to Danal in the Inn.  Head to the bar in the dungeon and talk to Danal, he'll give you a mining prop and asks you to kill the monster.

Head north to the dwarves, and use the prop on the crack.  and squeeze through. 
Now grab 2 ropes, 3 pully beams and 3 beams and an engine (found in crates)

Use your 2 pulley beams with a beam to get a long(er) pulley beam.  Use this with the scaffold
Use the next pulley beams with the scaffold
Add another beam to the scaffold, as well as some rope.  Then use another beam on the platform then add the engine.  Then add 5 coal ores to the engine and hop on the lift. 

Now, grab the plank you see and swing across the rocks using your rope.  Search the fire remains for the burnt page.  Then go up to the rocks and use your plank to cross.  Keep searching the fire remains to put the diary back together.  Avoid the steam vents as well, during your trips across the rocks.   Once you have all the pieces, you'll get a note that a giant sea snake has made a lair next to the stolen items. 

Head past the snaks and go through the crevice.  Then attack the Giant Sea Snake (149) and it may/will poison you (antipoison!)  Now take the drops and climb up the rope that comes down, and give the box to the Queen, for 20k.  Then bring the letter she gives you to the King.

Rune Mysteries

Items needed: None

Skills needed: None

Monsters: None

NPCs: Duke Horacio, Wizard Sedridor, and Aubury

Start location: Duke Horacio, on the second floor of Lumbridge Castle.

Quest walkthrough:

The duke of Lumbridge will give you an air talisman to give to the head wizard Sedridor.

Wizard Sedridor: After getting the air talisman from the duke go outside of the castle then follow the north path.  When the path comes to a turn take the turn and go west until you are at the intersection of four paths. Go south until you see a cement dock. Go down the dock until you are at the wizards tower. Go in the wizards tower and on the west side there is a ladder, go down the ladder and into the room where Sedridor is. Talk to him and he will give you a package.

Abury:  Go outside of the tower and back up the dock and to the intersection of paths. From there go east until you are at Lumbridge, cross one of the bridges then go north towards Varrock.  Go to Abury's rune shop which is located in the eastern shopping area south of the east Varrock bank.  Give him the package.  Talk to him again  and he'll give you some notes to give to Sedridor which will help show you how to craft runes.  

Sedridor: Return to Sedridor and talk to him, and he'll tell you he can teach you how to craft runes.  Give him the notes and he'll tell you about the Wizard's Tower and Rune Essence.  Then he'll reward you.

Reward: 
1 quest point, and the ability to teleport to the Rune Essence mines - just talk to, or right click either Sedridor or Aubury and select 'Teleport (Sedridor - Aubury)
