Eadgar's Ruse

To start: Talk to Sanfew in Taverly's Herblore Shop

Requirements:
Quests - Troll Stronghold, Druidic Ritual
Skills - 31 Herblore
Skill Recom - 40+ Prayer

Items - Unfinished Ranarr Potion, 2 Logs, Tinderbox, Climbing Boots, Pestle and Mortar, Knife, 5 Raw Chickens, 10 Grains, (2) Vodka, (2) Pineapples (2, just in case)
Item Recom - Good Armour, Teleport spells to places such as Camelot, Games Room, More than 2 Logs (for Goat Stew, for food)

Finding Eadgar:
Sanfew will ask you to collect him some Goutweed, which the Trolls own.  Head to Burthrope (North of Taverly) and through Tenzing's House, over the stile, and head NE, climbing over any rocks (with your boots on).  Head through Dad's Arena (from the Troll Stronghold Quest), and head NW into the West Cave.

Go through the cave and exit it - head NW, past the thrower Trolls (protect from Range good here!) - head to the top of Trollheim, and at the top, head SE to the other cave entrance, Enter - head North, and talk to Eadgar - he will tell you to talk to one of the Chefs about Goutweed.

Finding Burntmeat (not a food item):
Exit Eadgar's Cave and West down the path into the Troll Stronghold. Once in the Stronghold Head North to the Entrance area, then follow a path to the south, and climb down the stairs.  Here you should find Burntmeat, a Troll Chef.  Talk to him, and he will ask you to get him some Human for his stew.

Finding a Human?:
Head back to Eadgar and he will tell you his plan - you will need a parrot for this.  Head out of the Stronhold/Heim anyway (teleport to Ardougne is the quickest!)  Once in the Ardougne Zoo, talk to Parroty Pete, ask him what to feed the parrot etc.

Dice some Pineapples, then USE (not eat -- thats why you may want to bring 2) the pineapple chuncks with your Vodka.  Head to the west portion of the Parrot Cage and Use your pineapple-vodka concoction with the cage, getting a drunk parrot

Head back to Eadgar as you did above.  Now he will tell you how to make a fake human with a parrot.  Go back into the Stronghold and into the Prison (northern stairs in the stronghold) and place the parrot on the rack.

Finding Human Look-Alikes:
Head to Sanfew in Taverly and ask him for some Dirty Clothes, he will tell you to talk to Tegid.  Talk to Tegid and by telling him that Sanfew wouldn't be happy, he will give you some clothes.

On your way back to Eadgar grab everything else, not used, in the Items needed.  Give your items to Eadgar.

Now Eadgar will ask you to brew up some Troll Truth Potion.  Exit the Cave and search the grassy areas for some Troll Thistles.  Light a fire, and cook the thistle to get dried thistle.  Now crush the thistle using your Pestle and Mortar and add it to your Ranarr Potion, getting some Troll Potion. - Give this to Eadgar.

Finding Goutweed:
Head back to the Prison and give the drunk parrot to Eadgar - he will give you a fake man.  Now head down to Burntmeat again, give him your fake man and he will tell you where the key is.  Search the cabinets in the Kitchen for the key and head to the storageroom - Stairs to the NE.

Now you must manage your way past the Troll Guards (make sure they don't see you!) and hide behind boxes etc. Now at the end of the "maze" is the goutweed, collect some and bring it back to Sanfew

Reward:
11k Herblore XP
Trollheim Teleport Spell

Ernest the Chicken

Items needed: None

Skills needed: None

Monsters: Skeleton (level 21), Ghosts (level 19).

Start location: Talk to Veronica who is south of Draynor Manor.

After you've talked to Veronica walk north to Draynor Manor - watch out, some trees "come to life" and will attack you - they only hit 1's and 2's roughly.

Professor Oddenstein and the Chicken: Go inside the manor and walk up the set of stairs, then the ladder to find Professor Oddenstein.  Talk to Professor. Oddenstein and ask about Ernest, he'll then tell you that he has turned Ernest into a chicken, and that the only way to change him back is with his new invention - which is unfortunately broken.  To fix it he'll need the following three items: a rubber tube, a pressur gauge, and an oil can.

The Pressure Gauge: Go down the stairs and into the southern room, there will be some ghosts - they probably won't bother you, then pick up the fish food respawn on the floor.  Head downstairs and go to the west room where there will be a witch, there will also be some poison on the floor.  Take the poison and use it with the fish food.  Now go to the most eastern room in the house.  Grab the spade ( so you can get the rubber tube) and head out the back door - which is the only way to leave the manor.  Follow the path out back until you have reached a compost pile.  Use your spade with the compost to retrieve a key. **  Now head south until you have reached a water fountain.  Use your poisoned fish food with the fountain and the fishes will die.  Now you can reach in and grab the pressure gauge.  Now either go around the trees to the front of the house and go through the front yard, or go around the back yard path again and go through the back door, to go back inside the manor.

The Rubber Tube: **  Once you've retrieved the pressure gauge and back inside, find the room with the skeleton inside it ( the north room attached to the stairs. ) Use your key with the door and you'll be inside - the skeleton will attack you.  Either kill him or grab the rubber tube and run out the door.

The Oil Can: Go to the room south of the witch where you got the poison and search the book cases - they will open and you go behind them.  Now climb down the ladder and you'll see lots of rooms each with levers marked A, B, C, D, E, and F.  To open the final door - with the oil can inside - you need to pull the right levers.  The combination for the levers is :

Pull A, Pull B. Go to the north-east door.  Now pull lever D.  Go to the south - west door, then through the south door.  Pull A and B, go through the north-west door, then the west door, then northern door.  Now pull lever E then F and go through the eastern door.  Go through the eastern door, then go up and pull lever C go through the north-west door then the western door.  Pull E.  And go through the eastern door, the southern door, southern door, then finally the west door, and go through the door that leads to the oil can, and take it - these aren't tradable.

Turning Ernest human again: Once you have the Pressure Gauge, the Rubber Tube, and then the Oil Can, go back up stairs and up the ladder and talk to Professor Oddenstein.  The machine runs perfectly and turns Ernest back to human.  Ernest will then reward you for helping him.

Reward: 300 gp, and 4 quest points

Eyes of Glouphrie

To start; speak to Brimstail in his home SW of the Grand Tree

Requirements;
Levels - 46 Magic, 5 Construction
Quests - Grand Tree, The

Items; Axe, Bucket of Sap (use knife on tree with bucket in inventory), maple log, oak log, saw, mud rune, hammer, pestle and mortar

Talk to Brimstail about his new pet and be interested in his research on Gnomes and Magic, and Oaknock.  Now go around through his cave to the machine and crystal bowl; inspect these.  Talk to Brimstail and he'll send you to Hazelmere, who is located on an island East of Yanille.

Mind Reading, or Talking?
"Talk" to Hazelmere, he only speaks Gnomish so it's hard to understand a little; however, he will cast a spell on you and you can read his thoughts, and vice versa.  Talk to him through your mind.  He'll tell you the history of the Gnomes and Glouphrie through a nice cut scene.

Head back to Brimstail and talk to him; you'll notice someone has broken Oaknock's machine.  After inspecting it, Time to fix it; to make the magic glue crush a mud rune using your pestle and mortar and use the dust on your bucket of sap.  Now use the items listed above (besides the axe) on the machine to fix it.  It will be fixed, however, it has locked itself.

You need to use coloured shapes to unlock the machine; they must add up to the number presented on your screen (different for everyone.

Here is the list (thanks to my friend; Roy G. Biv);

Shape:  Red  Orange  Yellow  Green  Blue  Indigo  Violet
Circle
Pentagon  10  15  20  25  30  35
Square  12  16  20  24  28
Triangle  12  15  18  21

To get new disks ask Brimstail or use the Oaknock Exchanger to get exchange for new ones.,

Let's say your number is 20, put in a blue Square into the machine to unlock it to the next stage...

On the next stage there are even more numbers, and over two - three slots for each.

So now if your number is (let's say) 30 and three slots you can do;
3 Orange Pentagons
An Orange Square, Yellow Square and Orange Pentagon.
The possibilities are almost endless!

Anyways, once the machine has been unlocked again the cute creatures around the Grand Tree have turned into Evil Creatures - that machine was like an Illusion Creator of somesort.

Talk to Brimstail and he'll ask you to kill the Evil Creatures
They are;
1) Brimstail's Cave
2) Next to the Spirit Tree
3) At the Stronghold Gate
4) By the King
5) By the Glider
6) At the Battle Tortoises

Tell the King that you have killed the creatures

Reward;
12k Magic
250 Construction
